Customer Service, 10 Mistakes That Lose Customers and money

Customer service is a basic tool to keep customers. Here we give a list of 10 common mistakes that can make us lose customers and obviously lose money.

This list of common mistakes has been prepared by CBSNews, following a summary of them with comments:

1. Not have trained personnel for customer service. These personnel must be prepared to address customer complaints.

2. Trying to win the argument. Remember the phrase “the customer is always right.” You should not pretend that is the company that wins in the discussion.

3. Inaccessibility. Customer service should be fully accessible to the client, hide or make it difficult to get there is an error.

4. Rely on the company policy. This error is similar to point 2.

5. Not fulfill promises. If you promise something to the client must meet.

6. Poor data recording. Their customer data must be adequate and whether there should be corrected immediately. If you make a mistake in correspondence with a customer that can spoil the relationship.

7. Circles. Protect the client  from unnecessary steps to get to customer service.

8. Emails. Emails are impersonal, customers prefer letters.

9. Do not listen. Listen to your customer.

10. Forgetting the basics. Always Smile, always say thanks.
